We had Level Electrical install a large 20Kw solar system on our roof about two months ago. Nic was incredibly helpful and honest as he quoted and taught us our options, and the team on the installation day were professional, clean and efficient. Our solar system is working like a dream and we're throwing extra power back in to the grid too. Nic also went out of his was to analyse our needs and help us future proof our power usage with some extra care and thought that we couldn't find elsewhere. Getting solar is stressful as there is so many companies all promising to be the best, but I would highly recommend Level to anyone interested in solar. You won't regret it!

The team at Level Electrical and Solar were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish installing Solar at my property.
Despite the weather conditions the team managed to complete the job at hand. The installers were courteous and happy to answer any queries. The contact from administration was also appreciated with a follow up phone call.
I have no hesitation in recommending Level Electrical and Solar.

We were left in the lurch by another electrician who had clearly taken on a job that too big and beyond his expertise. Fortunately we were lucky enough to find Dave and his team at Level Electrical. After a site visit and an in depth discussion about our electrical and Solar needs they pulled out all stops to meet our builders timeline. Ensured our solar was significant for our use! Excellent service, excellent quality, competitively priced. Cannot recommend enough to use these guys you won’t regret it !!

I found these guys in hipages, they contacted me straight away. I told them that I wanted to put in an air conditioner for warmth and that I am a pensioner so don’t have a lot to spend. They were fantastic and booked me in on my pay day so I could pay them a deposit with a payment plan in place. They were here on the time they stated and worked hard at it, explaining the process all the way even though I really didn’t understand the process they came back and made the changes to the pipes that I asked and put a pump in place for me. They were very polite and explained the cleaning process to me. I couldn’t be happier, the house is nice and warm and I know it will be cool in summer!

Frequently Asked Questions

Commercial energy services include a range of solutions designed to help businesses optimize energy use, reduce costs, and improve sustainability. These services can include energy audits, energy efficiency upgrades, demand response programs, renewable energy solutions, and energy management systems tailored to meet the unique needs of commercial buildings and facilities.

Investing in commercial energy services can lower energy bills, improve operational efficiency, and reduce your environmental footprint. Additionally, these services can help your business comply with energy regulations and standards, while enhancing your corporate sustainability profile. Over time, the savings on energy costs can often offset the initial investment in energy upgrades.

An energy audit is a thorough assessment of your business's energy use, identifying areas where energy is being wasted or where efficiencies can be improved. The audit report typically includes recommendations for improvements, such as upgrading lighting, insulation, or HVAC systems. This can help businesses save money and reduce their environmental impact by pinpointing cost-effective ways to optimize energy usage.

Demand response is a program that encourages businesses to reduce or shift their energy usage during peak demand periods in exchange for financial incentives. By adjusting energy consumption during times of high demand, businesses help stabilize the grid and reduce the need for additional energy generation, all while benefiting from lower energy costs or rebates.

Yes, commercial energy services can significantly contribute to achieving sustainability goals. By incorporating energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources like solar or wind power, and advanced energy management systems, businesses can reduce their carbon footprint and meet sustainability targets. These initiatives also help in improving the company’s overall environmental reputation.

Qualifications

 1. Industry Certifications and Licenses

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM): Professionals with this certification, awarded by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), are highly qualified to manage energy efficiency projects, conduct energy audits, and implement energy management strategies.
  • Certified Energy Auditor (CEA): Another certification from AEE that qualifies professionals to conduct detailed energy audits and identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • LEED Accreditation: For providers involved in sustainable building design, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification is a key qualification to demonstrate expertise in energy-efficient construction and renovation.
  • State or Local Licenses: Depending on location, energy service providers and contractors may need specific licenses to operate in commercial energy management, installation of energy systems (such as solar panels or HVAC systems), or to perform electrical and mechanical work.

2. Experience and Track Record

  • Proven Experience in Energy Efficiency: Commercial energy service providers should have a track record of successful energy management projects for businesses similar in size and scope to your own. Experience with large-scale energy audits, system installations, or renewables integration is particularly valuable.
  • Past Client References: References from previous clients can validate a provider’s ability to deliver quality energy services and measurable savings.
  • Project Portfolio: A solid portfolio of energy efficiency projects, demand-side management (DSM) solutions, renewable energy installations, or energy procurement strategies demonstrates expertise and reliability.

3. Technical Expertise

  • Energy Modeling and Analysis: Providers should be proficient in energy modeling software (e.g., eQuest, EnergyPlus) and analytical techniques to assess energy consumption patterns and design effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of Building Systems: A deep understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, insulation, and other building systems is essential to optimizing energy use in commercial properties.
  • Renewable Energy Integration: For businesses interested in solar, wind, or other renewable energy sources, providers should have experience designing and implementing renewable energy systems that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure.

4. Compliance Knowledge

  • Understanding of Energy Regulations: Providers should be well-versed in local, state, and federal energy regulations, including mandates for energy efficiency, carbon emissions, and renewable energy credits (RECs). This ensures that your business complies with relevant laws and takes advantage of applicable incentives or rebates.
  • Incentive and Rebate Expertise: Energy service providers should have knowledge of government programs, rebates, tax credits, and incentives that can help offset the costs of energy efficiency upgrades or renewable installations.

5. Financial and Analytical Skills

  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Providers should be able to conduct financial analyses to determine the ROI of energy efficiency projects, including savings-to-investment ratios (SIR) and payback periods.
  • Financing Options: Many energy service providers offer financing options or can connect businesses with lenders for energy projects, including energy performance contracts (EPCs), which allow businesses to pay for energy upgrades through the savings they generate.

6. Sustainability Focus

  • Experience with Sustainability and Green Building Practices: Providers should have expertise in sustainable business practices and green building certifications, such as Energy Star, BREEAM, or WELL. They should also be knowledgeable about how to integrate sustainability goals into energy services.

7. Customer Service and Support

  • Ongoing Maintenance and Support: A reputable energy service provider should offer post-implementation support, including maintenance services, system monitoring, and updates to ensure continued energy savings and system performance.
  • Customized Solutions: The ability to tailor solutions to the specific needs of a business—whether through energy audits, upgrades, or renewable energy—indicates a deep understanding of your energy profile.
