It all started almost ten years ago when Natalie was looking for a team of electricians in the Maitland area that could rewire her 1890s farmhouse. The house needed a full rewiring after an electrical storm that caused significant damage to her electricals. The main goal was to improve the overall safety in the home.
Natalie was blown away by our team’s responsiveness, and ability to offer solutions for the complicated technicalities, that were made easy for her to understand!
We built a rapport with Natalie, and since then, she’s been a returning client that comes to us with all her electrical and air conditioning service needs.
Earlier this year, Natalie made the move from her residence in Sydney to a suburban cottage in Hamilton, located in Newcastle, New South Wales.
Being an older style home, Natalie required electrical rewiring, and new lighting fittings. She also needed a new air conditioning unit, to not only modernise the place, but to also ensure overall safety.
Built in the 1920s, Natalie’s Hamilton cottage and the original electricals were in desperate need of an upgrade. We recommend to all our clients checking electrical wirings every five years.
After our initial inspection, it was obvious the house had its original wiring. We carried out a full rewiring job to ensure that everything was in line with the AS3000 Safety Standards.
Natalie’s desired outcome was to modernise the lighting fixtures, and to make the switch to LEDs in certain areas of the home. New lighting fixtures were put into the three bedrooms, the hallways, and the living areas.
In conjunction with improving the overall safety to the home, rewiring meant it would cut Natalie’s power bills in half, through installing energy efficient globes and downlights.
Our electrical apprentice, Sam Siejka assisted with the electrical rewiring process. “The job was straight forward. We went on-site and knew exactly what needed to be done to improve the overall safety of Natalie’s new home.”
When Natalie had bought her Hamilton home, the house had an outdated split-system air conditioning unit. By keeping the split system in her home, Natalie would soon be racking up a hefty electricity bill!
As we always say, each home or office space is different. That’s why for one home, a split-system might be the perfect solution, but it isn’t the case for everyone. Making the switch to a ducted system was the best solution for Natalie. And we were here to help take care of all steps along the way.
Switching to a ducted system throughout her home, improved the overall energy consumption and saved Natalie hundreds of dollars in her electricity bill.
The Hamilton home had decorative ceilings, commonly seen in older buildings from the 20s era. This meant that the team had to be extremely delicate not to disturb the ceilings when fitting in the new air conditioner unit. Air conditioning technician, Hayden Wilson explained that this process involved a great deal of care.
“These decorative ceilings are common in older homes, and you don’t see them much anymore. We had to be careful not to disturb the ceiling. We took our time and made sure not to rush any work to avoid causing damage.”
Each service that we complete is done with care, and careful consideration as to not disturb or damage the foundations of the home.
We recently completed these services for Natalie, and we’re glad to hear that she was happy with the services provided.
We are big believers that no matter the job, whether it was our work, or someone else’s’, we’ll get the job done. I If work from a previous job is faulty, we’re always here to take a look and find solutions!
Natalie says, “the team are personable, reliable, and professional. They treat their workspace with respect and are always a pleasure to have around.”
“I recommend the team whenever, and wherever I can. They are always consistent – I wouldn’t choose any other team for electrical and air conditioning work.”
