Hard Rock Crushing Plant Upgrade – Possum Brush
When Level Electrical Taree was engaged to upgrade the motor control centre at a hard rock crushing plant in Possum Brush, the goal was clear: bring the site up to current electrical standards while improving safety, efficiency and performance.
Led by Jeff Brown, the team delivered a complete electrical upgrade that has significantly enhanced both safety and productivity for the operator.

Smarter systems, safer operations
Level Electrical Taree designed and installed a new control circuit, converting it from 240V AC to 24V DC - a critical improvement that eliminated the risk of electrocution from the control circuit.
The motor control centre was also upgraded to allow remote isolation of motor drives, grouped in zones to reduce the chance of arc fault injuries during isolation and maintenance.
A new Allen-Bradley PLC and SCADA system was introduced to automate the entire plant, delivering greater visibility, faster fault-finding, and measurable productivity gains.
“The new system has completely modernised the way the plant operates,” said Jeff Brown. “It’s safer, more efficient and built for reliable long-term performance.”

A partnership built on reliability
Level Electrical Taree continues to maintain and support the site’s electrical systems - ensuring reliability, compliance and continuous improvement. Their close working relationship with the plant’s operators has allowed ongoing upgrades and refinements as the site evolves.
