What is Local Impact?

Local Impact 2024 Queenstown 1

Local Impact is a Level Group ANZ initiative that brings together Members, supply partners and industry partners to deliver practical support where it’s needed most.

It started with a simple idea: our network is full of skilled trade businesses, generous suppliers and good people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help.

Each Local Impact project looks different depending on the need. Sometimes it means supporting a local community organisation. Sometimes it means rallying around one of our own.

What stays the same is the intent: to create meaningful, practical outcomes through donated time, materials and support.

2024 | Queenstown, New Zealand

Local Impact launched in Queenstown in 2024, alongside the Level Group New Zealand conference.

What began as a plan to support one local organisation quickly became something bigger. After strong Member support, Level helped three community organisations: Baskets of Blessings, Central Lakes Family Services and Wakatipu Playcentre.

Level Members and supply partners donated more than $50,000 in time and materials, completing plumbing, electrical, heating, lighting, maintenance, painting and general improvement works.

The project delivered real outcomes for the people supported and attracted strong media attention, from local newspaper coverage through to national breakfast television news.

2025 to 2026 | Inverell, Australia

In 2025, Local Impact turned inward to support one of our own.

Angela Clarke, from Level Plumbing Inverell, was diagnosed with stage 4 pelvic cancer while she and her husband Simon were preparing long-planned renovations to their family home.

What began as a GoFundMe campaign quickly became something much bigger, with the Level tribe rallying around Ange, Simon and their four children, Isla, Kenzie, Henni and Oakey.

Sadly, Ange passed away prior to Easter 2026.

In June 2026, Members, supply partners, families and friends came together in Inverell to help renovate the Clarke family home, on the farm Ange grew up on and later bought with Simon.

Through GoFundMe donations, donated materials, volunteer labour and hands-on support, more than $100,000 helped bring the project to life.

In honour of Ange

Angela Clarke and family

Local Impact 2026 was about more than renovating a home.

It was about the Level tribe coming together in honour of Ange, and in support of Simon, Isla, Kenzie, Henni and Oakey.

Across the weekend, Members, supply partners, families and friends rolled up their sleeves to help upgrade the Clarke family home. There were stories, laughter, tears, hard work, kids running around, a bonfire, live music and a whole lot of heart.

It was a weekend that captured what Local Impact is all about: showing up for each other and making a real difference together.
